Co-operative Publishing
Robinswood enjoys producing publications on behalf of, or in co-operation with, various groups, associations and other organisations – especially charities. Over the years we have built up considerable expertise in working with such organisations to create a product which matches both their aspirations and the expectations of their readers. We can also help with sales and marketing of these titles where needed.

Authoring
Each Robinswood publication has been created through a careful process of consultation and editorial development with the author. Our authors generally already have an established reputation in some aspect of teaching or work with children, but not always.

So, if you have an idea for a book which meets the overall Robinswood objective of fostering an enjoyment in writing and reading, especially in children overcoming barriers to good literacy, then we would like to hear from you. But please follow our guide to Becoming a Robinswood Author.

Human Resources
Robinswood is not a large organisation by any means. As we develop, we will need to expand our network of co-workers, especially with freelance illustrators, proof-readers, editors... Our employment philosophy for meeting appropriate ‘work-life balance’ has been recognised through the award of ‘Investors in People’ status.

Retail Stockists
In addition to the online buying facility, there is a growing number of educational specialists and retail booksellers where Robinswood's resources and children's books can be viewed and purchased. These outlets are listed in our Useful Links section.

Stockists receive supplies of leaflets and brochures, demonstration copies and product training where necessary, and plenty of advance notice of new product introductions and special promotions!

The Environment
All of us at Robinswood are as concerned as all of you about the environmental impact of business. We strive to minimise the impact of our activities by supporting our co-workers and freelance suppliers to work largely from home office bases, so minimising travel, office, and energy usage! (That's more time to grow vegetables, too!)

We check that our materials are from renewable sources wherever possible, and that whatever can be re-cycled gets re-cycled. But we always welcome new ideas towards achieving an ideal sustainable modus operandi.

And we're pleased to support, in the UK, the work of the National Trust (in whose wonderful properties we try to hold meetings) and the Woodland Trust (who conserve the trees that publishers consume).
